Research on farming practices and community participation with environmental restoration activities after mining in Tay Nguyen

This study focused on the agro-forestry practices of the communities around the mining area in Tay Nguyen, the community’s comments with environmental restoration activities after mining and their participation. The results show that: information on environmental restoration to the community is limited while most of them are willing to participate in these activities. Agricultural practices of local communities have been established for a long time, especially for traditional crops such as: coffee, tea, pepper… While forestry practices has some limitations. Thus, environmental restoration after mining must respect the farming practices, the traditional experience of local communities.
